PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is a fluorinated homopolymer made by polymerizing vinylidene monomer. UV resistant, offers high mechanical and abrasion resistance.

PVDF has self-extinguishing properties even without chemical additives, resistant to organic acids and halogenated solvents.
Its properties, along with chemical resistance and anti-corrosion characteristics, make the PVDF a product of choice for molded automotive components, electrical and chemical piping and insulation on electrical wires. It is also used in the biomedical field, for laboratory equipment and for components in pumps and valves.
