PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy) is preferable when extended service is required in harsh environments involving chemical, thermal and mechanical stress, as it has high melting resistance, good stability at high working temperatures, excellent resistance to cracks and stresses, as well as a low coefficient of friction and a longer bending life.

PFA can be used in a wide range of temperatures, from -328 F/-200 C to 500 F/260 C, which is why it finds its application in the semiconductor industry, in the medical sector, in fluid handling in chemical, medical, pharmaceutical applications, valve seats and other valve and pump components.
